GET TO KNOW THADDEUS
In addition to being an accomplished corporate and securities attorney with over 20 years experience, I am an honorably discharged US Army veteran, as well as co-founder of a technology startup. And, while it's true I am an alumnus of top New York City law firms and one of the Big 4 accounting firms and a graduate of some pretty good schools, on a more personal level, I am a dog lover, closet poet, and oenophile, and an open-water swimmer, marathoner and Ironman triathlete. In fact, after discovering the love of sport and fitness in later years, I wanted to pass on that joy to others. So, while still living in NYC, I joined my wife, Jacqui, coaching a non-profit adult triathlon program. Then, for six years she and I coached that program's high-school triathlon team in the South Bronx - a challenging and very rewarding experience for both of us!
βBe More Than A Resumeβ
I had a wise mentor when I was a young lawyer some years ago, cutting my teeth in the Big Law world. He was as understanding, as patient, and as kind a manager of people as he was a brilliant attorney. He encouraged me and my cohort of up-and-comers to always rememberβabout ourselves, each other, and our clientsβthat everyone is much more than their resume. Lawyers are notorious workaholics. We are also known for emphasizing credentials. The former can be a trap, if you don't learn how to work smart. The latter is fineβif you've got it, flaunt it, to an extent. But, credentials are only a glimpse at one facet of the whole person. Learning from that, I have always tried to keep a reasonable work-life balance. It makes me a healthier and happier person, and therefore (I hope!) a far better, wiser, and more well-rounded lawyer, advisor, and counselor for you.
How About That Name, though?
Wojcik is a very common name in Poland (and Chicago, in fact). If you are feeling particularly ethnic, feel free to pronounce it as VΕY-cheek. If not, WOAH-jik is fine. I am actually βthe Thirdβ: Thaddeus Paul Wojcik III. My namesakes are my dad and my grandfather (who, after a distinguished career as a Marine Corps officer, now lies with honor in Arlington National Cemetery).

What if you need something else?
Business clients often have need for legal counsel in areas outside the corporate law and securities law specialties on which I focus my practice. So, when necessary, I co-counsel with talent from a network of other exceptional, small, independent law firms with diverse specialties. This provides you with a virtual one-stop service experience, offering significant cost savings over hiring a larger firm that might staff your matter several attorneys, paralegals and secretaries deep.
Extensive network
My network of attorney colleagues in both New York and California include lawyers whose practices comprise expertise in the following areas: appellate law, arbitration, art law, banking law, commercial litigation, collections, copyright law, e-commerce law, elder care law, employment law, entertainment law, family law, fashion law, film & television, media law, litigation, mediation, music industry, hospitality, intellectual property law, immigration law, liquor licensing and liquor law, patent law, personal injury law, privacy law, publishing, real estate law, securities litigation, tax law, internet law and technology law, theatre, trademark, white collar criminal defense, and other areas.
